It’s that conundrum, how do you sum yourself up concisely for the random, bored web surfer? You don’t really care what I do, or where I live… at least these things don’t set me apart much from the millions of other people on the internet. That is, I “stay at home” with my four sons in Portland, Oregon, and write earnestly about the things I think, identifying as a Bahá’í, a feminist, a St. John’s alumna (though I graduated from the University of New Mexico) and recovering philosophy student, a Suzuki parent, a reader… Is any of that really who I am? How about the list of random factoids?

But, honey, those are the things I’m trying to conceal!

Ah, but that which you try to conceal is precisely what makes you most compelling…I’m with Raven here!

ahh oleoptene,
i cannot express how much i simply loved the comment you left on my blog!!! in fact, it may go down in the history of my favorite comments! you are, by no means, patronizing or unwanted. i welcome such an honest response and i appreciate your encouragement. it will all be filed away in the back of my mind whenever i post. again, thank you thank you thank you. you are the reader i have always wanted! and yes, the unreliable narrator is one of my favorite bloggers too. on that note, i will add you to my blogroll and consider myself an official ‘blog reader and comment submitter.’
with great appreciation and excitement,
the almost right word
